Forecasting and anticipating effects of climate change on fisheries and aquaculture

The Baltic Sea Centre is participating in ClimeFish (2016-2020) that aims at co-creating a decision support framwork to ensure sustainable fish production in Europe under climate change.

The overall goal of ClimeFish is to help ensure that the increase in seafood production comes in areas and for species where there is a potential for sustainable growth, given the expected developments in climate, thus contributing to robust employment and sustainable development of rural and coastal communities.

ClimeFish - not a prank!

Climate changes are not an April Fool’s Day prank. They are real, they are happening right now and they are threatening the sustainable growth of aquaculture and fisheries worldwide. Stockholm university Baltic Sea Centre is one of 21 partners of the Horizon 2020 funded project ClimeFish that focus on forecasting and anticipating effects of climate change on fisheries and aquaculture.
