How would you describe your project in a few sentences?

My project is focusing on providing a better understanding of how the ecosystem approach is developing in the Baltic Sea, with a focus on Sweden during the last decade. I have investigated how government agencies and science is changing practices towards an ecosystem approach and a manuscript will be presented at the IMBER conference in Trieste, during a workshop with a range of examples of similar experiences around the world.

What are your most important results, and for whom are they particularly useful?

That things are developing incredibly slow. Hopefully the result will be valuable for the government office and agencies.

How can it assist an ecosystem-based management of the marine environment?

By identifying things left to do.
