Session aim
The aim of the session “Multiple drivers affecting ecosystem function in estuarine and coastal waters” is to present the effects of multiple external drivers on ecosystem function and dynamics in estuarine and coastal waters. The objective is to present a wide range of different ecosystems and by that improve our understanding of general and specific ecosystem responses to compound effects of external drivers as well as describing the risk for potential regime shifts or severe changes in water quality. This understanding will further help to steer management pathways that keep the ecosystem in a desirable condition in the light of a future climate.
