We propose a case study and plan to map a small area in the Fifång deep to the east of the island of Askö at high resolution with a multibeam system and to deploy our benthic lander and a Multicorer at specific locations determined by the bottom topography.
The main focus of the project to explore small scale meter-scale depressions and the effect of steep contours at the sea floor for bottom boundary layer stratification and benthic pelagic exchange.
