Postdoctoral Fellow in axion astrophysics and cosmology

We are searching for an outstanding individual to conduct original research on theoretical, phenomenological or observational aspects within astroparticle physics and cosmology, with a particular focus on axions and dark matter. SU FV-3695-21, closing date: 12 December 2021.

Postdoctoral Fellow in instrumentation and data analysis for CMB experiments

We are advertising a postdoc position to work with Dr. Jon E. Gudmundsson on novel research in instrumentation, simulation, and data analysis for experiments studying the cosmic microwave background (CMB), including SPIDER, the Simons Observatory, the LiteBIRD satellite, and CMB-S4. Postdoctoral Fellow in machine learning of Universe’s initial conditions

We are searching for an outstanding individual to conduct original research on the origin and evolution of cosmic structure using cosmological survey data and novel machine learning methods. Ref. No. SU FV-3441-21, closing date: 15 January 2022.

Postdoctoral Fellow in precision comology with Type Ia supernovae from ZTF and LSST

We are searching for a outstanding individual to conduct original research on modelling and/or analysis of Type Ia supernova observations for precision cosmology. SU FV-3507-21, closing date: 15 January 2022.

System developer in software for LSST DESC

We are now searching for a highly motivated system developer in software to develop scientific software infrastructure for the international Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC). Ref. No. SU FV-3886-21, closing date: 15 January 2022.

PhD positions

All open PhD positions are announced on this webpage. This is done four times per year.  Announcements in 2021 are published February 2rd (with last application date March 1st), April 2nd (April 23rd), September 2nd (September 29th) and October 15th (November 5th). For 2022 the dates will be similar but are yet not decided. Contact the Director of Postgraduate Studies for more information about the program.
