The Division of Chemical Physics

The Division of Chemical Physics was formed in the Autumn of 2011 by merging of the previous Molecular Physics and part of the Quantum Chemistry divisions. It has about 50 members including faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, diploma workers, and guest researchers.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Experimental X-ray Science and Exotic States of Water under Pressure

The position will be associated with the project Probing the Glass-Liquid-Liquid-Ice Transitions in Amorphous Water with X-rays funded by the Ragnar Söderbergs Stiftelse. Ref. No. SU FV-0576-19, closing date: 31 March 2019.

Postdoctoral fellow in theoretical modeling of x-ray spectroscopy

The research group XSoLaS at the Department of Physics, Stockholm University have a postdoctoral fellow opening for an outstanding individual to conduct theoretical studies, development and modeling to support and guide a world-leading experimental effort in the area of fundamental aspects of heterogeneous catalysis with a focus on CO 2 reduction to abate climate change and promote a sustainable energy future. Ref. No. SU-0160-18, closing date 2019-04-01.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Theoretical Modeling of Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Generation

The Department of Physics have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position for which we invite applications from outstanding individuals. The specific project aims to conduct theoretical studies, development and modeling to support and guide the experimental effort in the area of electrocatalysis with focus on hydrogen evolution from glycerol and sugar acids. The theoretical modeling will be based on computational screening of electrode materials using state-of-the-art scaling relations and electronic structure calculations. Ref. No. SU FV-2696-18, closing date: 1 April 2019.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Experimental X-ray Science of Aqueous Solutions

The Department of Physics have a postdoctoral position available for a highly motivated candidate for studies in the area of aqueous solutions using x-ray scattering experimental techniques. Ref. No. SU FV-1024-19, closing date: 12 April 2019.
