The CoPS division

The group of Cosmology, Particle Astrophysics and Strings (CoPS) at the Physics Department (“Fysikum”) of Stockholm University was formed in 2004. Our research is focused on dark matter (both theory and experiment), dark energy (both theory and experiment), cosmology, string theory and general relativity. We are also members of the Oskar Klein Centre.

PhD student in Studies of strongly lensed supernovae and cosmological applications

We are seeking exceptionally strong candidates with the ability to work within the LSST collaboration to develop efficient search techniques for lensed supernovae while rejecting the multiple background signals. Ref. No. SU FV-1360-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Physics towards theoretical activity

This position is called "open", meaning that the succesful candidate may choose research division at the department freely. Ref. No. SU FV-1356-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Physics directed towards Experimental Activity

This position is called "open", meaning that the succesful candidate may choose research division at the department freely. Ref. No. SU FV-1355-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

Postdoctoral scholarship in experimental astroparticle physics

We are announcing a postdoctoral scholarship for research with XENONnT. The main activities are within computing, data analysis and simulation as well as possible involvement in photosensor related instrumentation. Ref. No. SU-402-2.1.9-0072-20, closing date: 15 May 2020.

Division lunch meetings

Informal talks are given by division members every Monday at 12:15. For further information please contact Edvard Mörtsell.
