Condensed Matter and Quantum Optics

The research of the division of Condensed Matter and Quantum Optics is both experimental and theoretical. The research focuses on the fundamental aspects of quantum phenomena in light and matter, and has several potential applications in quantum information technology, quantum electronics and nanotechnology. Theoretical work also span broader areas of physics.

PhD student in Dynamic quantum matter

The project is on the theoretical description of dynamical and non-equilibrium states of matter with an emphasis on topological and other exotic phenomena. Ref. No. SU FV-1367-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Quantum computing with trapped Rydberg Ions

The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology group at Stockholm University invites applications for a PhD position on our trapped Rydberg ion project. Ref. No. SU FV-1366-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Quantum materials characterization at low temperatures

The quantum materials characterization group at Stockholm University invites applications for a PhD student position towards thermodynamic studies of quantum materials at low temperature. Ref. No. SU FV-1365-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Correlations and topology in quantum many-body systems

The condensed matter and quantum optics division at Stockholm University invites applicants for a Ph.D. position in theoretical physics, with the focus on correlation effects and topology in quantum many-body systems. Ref. No. SU FV-1359-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.

PhD student in Resolution-unlimited quantum measurements

A PhD position is available in the Quantum Photonics group to conduct research related to resolution-unlimited measurement of the spatial separation of two emitters by detection and analysis of the spatial mode structure. Ref. No. SU FV-1357-20, closing date: 23 April 2020.
