The CoPS division

The group of Cosmology, Particle Astrophysics and Strings (CoPS) at the Physics Department (“Fysikum”) of Stockholm University was formed in 2004. Our research is focused on dark matter (both theory and experiment), dark energy (both theory and experiment), cosmology, string theory and general relativity. We are also members of the Oskar Klein Centre.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Fundamental Theory

The project “Holographic spacetimes from simple quantum theories” led by Professor Bo Sundborg aims to use AdS/CFT, or more generally gauge/gravity duality, to derive quantum physics of geometry from quantum field theory. Ref. No. SU FV-3825-18, closing date: 15 December 2018.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Observational Cosmology and Astrophysics

The Department of Physics invites applications for a postdoctoral position in observational and computational cosmology to work with Dr. Jens Jasche on the study of cosmic large-scale structures with cosmological surveys such as LSST and other datasets. Ref. No. SU FV-3901-18, closing date: 15 January 2019.

Division lunch meetings

Informal talks are given by division members every Monday at 12:15. For further information please contact Edvard Mörtsell.
